Setting Up Lunch Attestation

This section gives you a summary of what is needed to set up the Lunch Attestation feature.

Lunch Attestation is either:

• Disabled (default)

• Enabled but employees are not required to answer the prompts

• Enabled and employees are required to answer the prompts

In addition, the text for the prompts that employees see can be changed from the default text.

The following items can be or must be set up to use the Lunch Attestation feature:

• Authorization Roles (Required)

  Add the proper authorization roles to all the employees working with or affected by Lunch Attestation. See Assign Authorization Roles.

• TA Application indicator: System Standard 2 (Required)

  This determines whether the Lunch Attestation feature is enabled and whether answers are required to be answered. Must be set to enable the feature; default is disabled. See Set the Application Indicators and Parameters.

• TA Application parameter: System Standard Alpha 2 (Optional)

  What text should appear when asking whether this is the employee's final out clocking for the shift? Can be changed; if not, default text is used. See Set the Application Indicators and Parameters.

• TA Application parameter: System Standard Alpha 3 (Optional)

  What text should appear when asking whether the employee took a full, uninterrupted lunch break? Can be changed; if not, default text is used. See Set the Application Indicators and Parameters.

• TA Application parameter: Posting Standard Alpha 1 (Required)

  When needed, which No Lunch special code should be attached to a clocking when no lunch was taken? Must be set up for when employees answer that they did not take a full lunch. See Set the Application Indicators and Parameters.

• TEL Application indicator: System Standard 7 (Required if using TimeCall)

  Will Lunch Attestation prompts be used with TimeCall? Must be set to enable the feature; default is disabled. See Set the Application Indicators and Parameters.

• QUICKBADGE Application indicator: System Standard 2 (Required if using QuickBadge)

  Will Lunch Attestation prompts be used with Quick Badge? Must be set to enable the feature; default is disabled. See Set the Application Indicators and Parameters.

• WEB Application indicator: System Standard 22 (Optional)

  Should employees’ Lunch Attestation answers appear on the TCS? Can be set if you want to view the employees' Lunch Attestation answers in the Shift Answer column on the TCS screen. See Set the Application Indicators and Parameters.

• LunchAttest Assignment Code (Required)

  This determines how the Lunch Attestation processing works and which employees it applies to. See Set Up the LunchAttest Assignment Code.

• No Lunch Special Code (Required)

  Which No Lunch special code should be applied to clockings when employees answer that they did not take a full lunch break?

  For Lunch Attestation, you do not need to update any No Lunch special codes. However, you do need to add them to the LunchAttest assignment code. See Understanding the No Lunch Special Code.

• No Lunch Override Code indicator, Calculations Standard 39 (Required)

  This is used to correct an incorrectly applied No Lunch special code. Must update the existing No Lunch override codes. See Set the Override Code Indicator.

• Predefined Notes (Optional)

  This is done to create a note that has predefined text (instead of free-form text) when a supervisor updates a clocking, such as when adding the No Lunch override code. See Add a Predefined Note for Lunch Attestation.

• LaborViews (Optional)

  If you use LaborViews, you can allow supervisors to view information about their employees who use Lunch Attestation. See Set Up the Lunch Attestation LaborViews.
